Reward rate

A reward rate is the rate of return offered on a savings or earn product, expressed as a yearly percentage. It shows how much you could earn over a year on the balance you hold, before fees and taxes.

The term is common on crypto and earn products, where returns move over time. This makes a reward rate different from a fixed interest rate quoted by a bank, which is set in advance and holds steady for the term. A reward rate is usually variable, so the figure shown today reflects current conditions rather than a locked commitment.

Because it changes with supply, demand, and market conditions, a reward rate is not a promise of future earnings. The rate you see when you deposit can rise or fall later, and past rates do not guarantee what you will earn.
